You guys should have realised it after the Asia cup and world cup humiliations in 2023. 50 averaging so called bilateral kings Imam Babar etc were shown their place when it mattered the most and when teams actually played to their fullest.

Doesn't matter. Most teams these days do not care about white ball bilaterals and treat them like glorified net sessions. And rightly so...Intensity is nowhere near what it should be. That's why I used the word "non-serious". 

 

Any sensible fan would take performances in these matches with a bucket of salt. I've only seen Pakistani and Bangladeshi fans taking them seriously and extrapolate their team/players' worth. Tilak Verma recently clobbered two hundreds in South Africa but you'll rarely see Indian fans hyping those....at all.

Bowling resources are overrated in white ball cricket.  It's firepower and depth in batting that we need first and foremost.

ODI is our weak format.  Ro Ko Kela Pant haven't played ODI in ages and these guys will play CT lol

 

I wish CT was in T20 mode our T20 team is lot more settled and fire atp than ODI

Conditions in Dubai are not easy. 260-270 can be defended with Good bowling.

 

Match against NZ will be super tough.

Santner Henry ORourke NSmith/Sears they are going to make life hell for our batters.

Disciplined bowling - not extraordinary bowling like peak  Starc/Bumrah .  It's not necessary 

 

And no, strike rates do matter even in ODI cricket.

Its similar grp as that to t20wc where ind lost to pak and nz jst bd replacing afg.

Ind would need to win 2 games to reach sf, even with bad form of batting line-up Ind is still a decent side in ODis.

 

If bhumrah, shami and kuldeep are not playing then who can fill in those places ??

To be fair, Cummins at 8 and Starc at 9 saved them in Semis. They were in trouble at one point.
