Liking the direction our T20I team is going. Explosive starters, depth in batting, attacking spinners.

Good too see Avesh, Khalil and other trunders finally out from this format.

  Samson, Jurel as WK. No Pant.
  Gill also not in T20 scheme. Dropped or rested?
  Parag still injured, could haver replaced Washi.
  Shivam Dube dumped. Good call as Pandya, Reddy are sufficient.
  Bishnoi, Chakarvathy first choice spinners. No Kuldeep.
  Good to see no Siraj, Mukesh, Avesh, Khaleel. 
 Shami is back. Good practice for CT.

Let him play all the ODIs against England. Wouldn't that be a better measure?

Yes, Shami game time is crucial. Doesn't mater the outcome. He need overs under his belt in International cricket.

Exactly.  Shami has never been a good t20 bowler.  Longer formats (odi and tests) suit his bowling style.  Maybe our TM feels insecure due to bumrah's absence.  So, went with Xperience.
