No point blaming him- if this was Kohli he would have skipped these matches for 'personal 'reasons. If he doesn't have the hunger for more runs regardless what side it is then cant blame others who do chose to and do well

Kohli is no longer in the discussion. Talking about perception, Kane is nothing in front of Smith but will retire with similar numbers.

Kohli with his "only bottom hand" usage shots always had limitations

Most of his contemparies aren't that rigid with their bat swing,stance and bat gripping

The moment you cross a certain age your range tends to keep you afloat

Think at this age most of the player just stick to one format both rohit and kolhi has been playing all 3 format till v.recently.

Yes they are picking and choosing but at certain point in intnl career your drive, motivation and to focus needs to be only in 1 direction. Multi directional and tasking wont help much. Plus there is alot of pressure on them every single low score will build up more pressure. rohit was thinking winning t20i wc can give him 2 more years at intnl cricket but its looking hard, kolhi may be carried on because of the stardom he carries and there is no star right now, all bcci bets have failed be it kl, pant, even gill. Once these 3 were seen as all fromat captains now they are only good for 1 format and kl is there because he is there.

 

kolhi and rohit are good batter once in a while they will come-up with some good know but expecting consistency from them is too much. 

 

Ashwin could have played 1-2 year more but he saw the writing on the wall, lost 1 home series and was not getting picked in 11 in away tours even after so much exp. there was no point in extending

A new SA team scored 300 against a decent Nz bowling line-up. Scoring and chasing 300-320 is becoming easy these days.

These are kind of par scores with easy pace and easy bounce pitches, unless some spinning track is created.

They desperately want it to be box office hit their to pump in more and more money and they have seen potential in that tournament

Rightfully expecting similar returns+talent and skill,pace,crowd everything is there

SA is best place for t20 league, such a great envmt, when IPL went there the crowd had their fav. team even though they did nt know the names but they will say following red team, blue or yellow team something like it.

 

SA board make it proper event for T20 matches.

Even Kane mama is scoring hundreds for fun. Only "King" Kohli is utterly useless when everyone else - Root, Williamson, Smith - is scoring 100s all over the place

those 3 are way above him. He's now in category of Khawaja,Braithwaite,Mathews etc
