@deathmonger as much as I respect film making art from Southern India, RRR is a horrible movie and we will be seen as a laughing stock rather than being respected if this movie represents us on global stage.

Edit: India will not achieve the soft power hegemony like the US did, let's be real. US gained prominence due to heavy backing from the Allied powers, South Korean and Japanese entertainment too gets a lot of backing from the US. India doesn't enjoy that kind of privilege, plus not being a first world country too plays a role here.

RRR was quiet well loved internationally for its action and over the top nature and this is worldwide - USA, Japan, Europe etc.

India will achieve good level of soft power once India becomes rich so by the 2050s or so.

Jap wave started in 80s. Korean wave in 2000s. Now Chinese wave starting and they are making solid video games, movies etc although will only explode in the 2030s imo.

For us to reach that level maybe 2050s-2060s.

Abhigya Anand predicted this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUhivGBz3to

Not sure, if anyone uses here Ramnarayan Panchang Calendar (quite popular in MP), in theor yearly astrology prediction...they too mentioned a big global war during mid of the year.
I am using it from last 20 odd years and almost 60-70% of their predictions come true.

Turkey and India are such old civilizational rivals it is fascinating.   Their support for Pakistan is psychological as well.

Ottoman Turks carried genocide after genocide in Armenia and Greece.

These massacres inspired even Hitler.

As @deathmonger said

take pride in what the Indian Army did to the Turks in WW1. It is the Indian Army that liberated the Arabs from Turkish rule. The Indian Army liberated Baghdad and Haifa and Jerusalem.  British Indian Army was undisputed sword of the Empire.

The Indians marched triumphantly into Constantinople (Istanbul) at the end of WW1 and liberated it.

I can assure you the Turks have not forgotten nor forgiven. But most Indians probably didn't even know.

I think IAF vs PAF will be much longer drawn like always.  Half of our MKI and Rafale squadrons will be on our eastern LAC side.

Reports are that Navy fighters are also seen up north due to scarcity.

India will have to resort to missile warfare instantly.  Escalation ladder will go manifold up automatically.

There will be civilian casualties make no mistake.  We always knew that.

Every expert.knows that... Can't be avoided as Sushant Sareen and Gaurav Arya were saying.

I'd extensively use Indian naval assets to destroy Karach and Sindh including civilian areas and keep PAF tied up in the North by IAF.

Karachi and Sindh would be literally defenseless

1. Don't want an all out war, but if it is an all out war we need to realize what kind on country we are. We aren't Russia which produces all of it own weapons hence not dependent on outside country to supply its forces, nor are we Israel which will get unlimited money & weapons from US.

2. Our Traditional ally Russia is caught in a war of it own, its ability to supply India will be limitted. US support was always dicey, & you will never know how Trump will react. Considering US stated position is a descalation they will use the issue of supply as a means to pressure us into a descalation. France is the only no strings attached partner but they too are struck in the war with Russia.

3. While Pakistan will be supplied by China as they will see this as an opportunity to weaken us.

4. Given these restrictions we can't be seen as the first person to attack civillans, the moment we target civillians, we can't be sure how France will react.

5. IAF's problem in 2019 was the lack of options against a superior BVR capability. IAF is much better off now wrt BVR & our A2/AD, we can deliver knock out punched to PAF infratructure at stand off range using Scalp & BrahMos. While they can cause some damage to our infra close to the border, most of our infrastucture will be beyond their reach.

One thing I am seeing on X is, Despite following many Indian defense accounts, my feed is inundated with Pakistani defense accounts (probably ISPR ops) spreading Pakistani propoganda. I have never seen posts from these accounts in the past, so India needs to show up on the information warfare front.

@IndianRenegade, Indian army/navy/air force will never attack unarmed Pak civilians, I am sure about that. They're a professional army and not terrorists.

Worst case scenario what India will be forced to do is complete destruction of Pak military infra. But let's hope it never comes to this.

Funnily enough, our enemies remember our victories better than we do.

The turki hasnt fogotten that we put the ottoman empire in to the grave. We have

Just like the chinese havent forgotten that its we indian troops who burnt down the forbidden palace when we kicked their asses on behalf of the brits in opium wars. we have.

Thank you,

I knew someone will come and twist it in different way.

We saw how wonderfully feminism worked when they couldn't even left the body of a departed soldier and fumbled to almost drop it.

How come I twisted it..you are saying just bcos woman couldn't lift a casket .the entire gender should not have equal rights... You didn't say that they shouldn't be in armed forces or better same criterion for admission

As a matter of fact, post partition Yahya had last drinks with regiment before segregation. In fact, he recounted his sadness. They got 17% of territory and 30% of the army. No wonder it became military state.
