Iran and Afghanistan are the two nations we need the most when dealing with Pakistan. They both have poor relations with Pakistan and could launch attacks of their own at the time of an India Pak conflict. Not that far fetched.

With respect to Iran...it's common public dont believe in jihad and want freedom. They are protesting over the streets and they want the independence and liberalism back which was during the rule of Shah of Iran.

 

Afghanistan too was a decently modern society unless USSR-USA decided to make it their own battle ground. USA used Pak as a proxy and created Taliban...which destroyed the Afghani culture to pieces.

 

Its just that their good work done by India in last 20 years has created a lasting impact. Unlike the Kanglus who are idiots, Taliban 2.0 came up with a different approach which was a shocker to Pakistan. The Taliban govt is more acceptable to Indians than to Pakistan...coz they believe that Pakistan played a primary role in crushing their country to ****.

That is the case of Iranians in USA as well. But , I feel all those who escaped or emigrated out could be liberal and areligious. People living in Iran could be largely conservative and following the rule, while the protests are a minority that thw west might be projecting as a narrative

nope .. i visited iran twice and mostly people are not religious

if someone is related to government or getting favors from them , they have to follow some religious codes 

even then government dont bother you as long as you mind your own business 

 

almost every household have their wine cellar and prepare their own arrack ( pay some bucks , people will come and convert your wine to arrack )

Who were Pakistanis in Moghul Empire time? All you have are North Indian people since 1947. You have no history before 1947.

Yeah that's all propaganda. Average Iranian is moderate and many lean towards atheism. This whole perception will blow up once mullahs are blown out of power.
