There is a reason they are keeper and not pure batsman

Jadeja can't be your attacking option.. play pure batsman instead and a lone specialist spinner.

Don't play Thakur for batting depth.  He will go 5 RPO minimum.

But I have a feeling they will go for him.

That makes Sadeja entry possible.

It was a green top on Lords.. That Kuldeep was different.

 

Zero trust on Pacers to do the job..  Our pace stocks are non existent.  I will be happy if they prove me wrong.  But after Bumrah second most skilled and Talented bowler in the squad is Kuldeep.

His record against BazBall proves it.  England would have stream rolled us in India if not for him.

 

Bashir has been excellent in BazBall era with flat pitches and Dukes not moving a lot

On pattas, and with dry weather, think pitch will assist spin in 2nd innings. Was different in Anderson-Broad era when they left too much grass on the wicket.

Extremely average squad barring few names. 30 averaging Crawley is their opener and Bashir is their frontline spinner, even in pace bowling department there is nothing special, recalling washed up Woakes. We will lose, though. Ashes this year will be again totally one sided if this squad would travel to Australia.

I can understand if a name has a funny meaning in a different language, but England player names with surnames have weird meaning in English is intriguing.

Agreed. Bumrah , Siraj and Prasidh to be the main pacers with Arshdeep an option depending on conditions and team strategy. Arshdeep is yet to make his test debut so will need to be eased in.

Deeply hurt by the progress of Sen,Tyagi and Umran

Had they progress as expected India could have had plethora of pace bowling options to look for besides Bumrah

Most of them remain injured,then ignored forever,Sen couldn't get a single game even in lackluster PBKS bowling unit ,T20s though still could have got an idea how hes bowling in a competitive game

Carse has been a very bad bowler in domestic cricket. Woakes has been terrific in England. Expect him to maintain his perfoemance in England.  

 

The batting is not good apart from Harry Brooks and Jamie Smith who is a very good wicket keeper batsman.

 

India is playing the weakest England test team since decades.

WDYM I have picked pant in my xi 

I am not in favor of playing two keeper bat in 1 team we need specialist bats
