Legit points as in how everytime he is selected as opener and a slot opens up someone else parachutes in. Now from a eye test point of view Easwaran doesn’t look that impressive but it is what it is, if he is picked and a slot opens up, he should have gotten a shot

Yuvi/Washi/Sanju's fathers are wrong. But this is different. If it were your brother or son, you too would have lashed out at some point. Imagine being in the squad for 10 series, but not getting a single chance, it will be tough on everyone, especially parents. And in our societies, relatives, friends may make fun or pass snide remarks in such situations.

 

Better to not give false hope.

Was this always case in Indian cricket.

 

Seems like recent trend where there is a queue and all of a sudden someone gets into the team out of nowhere.

Ganguly's dad used to be a very combative person, frequently getting into fights with CAB and BCCI bigwigs. Was a big businessman in Calcutta.....Dada was so used to luxury growing up, that he refused to carry his kits/bags in his first tour abroad and in county in the 90s.

His dad spoke normally like a well educated fan to be honest and made some fair points, if you listen to the interview : not bitter like Yograj Singh who is at a different level or Samson’s dad who was unreasonable and delusional .
