So Hazlewood and Abbott had hamstring scans during their Sheffield Shield match. Abbott is out while Hazlewood has been cleared.

 

The Aussie bowling unit can crumble by the end of the Ashes. All of them are in mid 30s and a few of them now have an injury overhang. 

 

If Jofra, Wood, Tongue, Carse can be fit for first couple of matches at Perth and Gabba, could really become super interesting.

Australian batsmen are not exactly in great form.  Stokes relies on strategies to buy wickets. If you alow them to score big Australian bowling minus cummins will wilt.  THey don't really have great backup fast bowlers. They will go for 3 day pitch

It would be the wrong move imo.  England tend to well on low scoring pitches where  350 is a winning score.

 

Need to drag them out of their comfort zone and bat them out of the match.

Lions vs England.  Apart from Stokes, the other bowlers have been pretty ineffective. 

 

Could be the theme of the Ashes.

 

Australia need to wear Stokes down and look to outlast him on flat wickets.

 

May not be possible to beat England 5-0 but if you can put them on the field for hours at a stretch , they don't respond as well and Australia can dominate at the back end of the series

First test in Perth is a shock to the system for any visiting side. Even at our aboslute peak, we lost there in the 2018 series, and it was after the Adelaide win. 

 

Miracle how we opened with a win last tour. Bumrah magic, Jaiswal's 160  odd
