If we had Kohli instead of a joker like Sai in Eng and RSA, we would have done better. If Sai plays one more test in his life, BCCI HQ should be gheraod. 

 

If only Kohli had played the home series against Poms, he could have extended his career and scored 10k runs. 

 

I strongly believe Kohli, Pujara and Rahane were unlucky.

Yeah, both India and Eng are middling sides atm. Both have psycho coaches as well.

Cook is just saying the truth.. no two words about it. Showing the mirror to both Eng & India

 

PS: Too much of NZ influence in the Eng side  . Stokes, Mccullum, Southee, Jeetan Patel all are kiwis.

Both sides lack Top level test class talent.  Replacements are raw and untested.

Doubt any coach can make a difference there.  Eng were worse under Bayliss.

India never prepared backups to begin with.

 

Though Baz And Stokes are sabotaging County cricket to an extent.

We shouldn't be preparing pitches like this for us for one thing. You rely purely on Toss. But Gauti s doubling down on pitch preparation. He says this is what we wanted. That is not  taking advantage of home condition. That is burying your own team in home conditions.

India can only win on rank turners at home.  Think tank's assessment was correct.

Only games we have come close to winning in two whitewashes were on rank turners.

Both Mumbai test vs NZ and Eden Garden test vs SA were winnable.

 

Our Pacers can't outbowl opposition Pacers and our batters can't outbat them on a sporting track.  Our spinners can't spin on a decent track as well.

 

To win you need to win toss in India.. and unfortunately we can't do that either.

We won 17 series in a row toss or not. We didn't rely on toss. We didn't even have stable batsmen right through that journey. Also we lost mostly on rank turners during that phase. We also dominated opponents on pitches that just turned enough not overly turning. Even teams that had ABDV, Amla struggled here.
