He plays slog sweep not conventional sweep. It is not a natural shot for Indians as they grow up on pitches with uneven bounce.

Same with Rohti in Tests. He got out to Henry before facing spinners. That was criminal. India could have won atelast one test had he stuck around even once.

Now newer batters are playing sweep too- Jaiswal (for both 4s/6s), Gill (one of the 2 6-hitting shot for him, but hardly plays it for 4s), sky(4s/6s), tilak, Pant, Sarfarz (kind of bread and butter shot for him)

 

Yes but for rohit sweep is not like get out of jail/only scoring shot. Its v.natural for him. apart from him only jaiswal and sarfaraz they are natural at sweep shot.
