Parag is also an AR. Can bowl both leg spin and offspin. Fields better and is a bigger hitter.

Yes..and I am hoping he brings more consistency in his bowling to eventually become a permanent member in the eleven thats going to give us more teeth to our bowling and make batting even more formuddable..

However,as of now I dont think he is fitting the team combination..he hasnt done too well in domestics after coming back from injury..

I hope this IPL he bowls a lot more and shows his bowling can do job for India..

Him bowling well can easily repace Axar and Sundar in the xi and thats going to make our T20 team very formiddable..

I wanted Parag in bowling what Saim Ayub has become.

Parag in place of Sundar would be better. Sundar will come off once in a while. Just not the guy for the format.

Axar himself is not Ideal in my view either. If he plays, he should bat no.6 or lower. But I am ok with him. Sundar another level down.

Glad Gill is gone..Unfair for him to play when Jaiswal doesn't get chances.

Not sure if going back to Kishan is great either. Kishan is never consistent. One good game here and there.

But, just removing Gill changes things. We got a shot.

Kishan is backup for Samson..Keeper backup for the same opening position keep the team balance intact..else they wud hv been forced to pick Jitesh who cant open..

Kishan helped allowing dropping Gill from team too as Jswal hasnt played in T20 side from long time so cudnt hv been automatic choice to open.

Agree with your points.

Just that Kishan disappoints more often than not. Definitely do not mind him in comparison to Jitesh.

I know Iyer is injured, but possibly Hadrik can be Captain and we drop SKY. Then if Selectors are generous we can have Parag too. We increase bowling, batting at the same time. Not for this T20I tournament but in the future. I do not see why SKY should continue irrespective of tournament results.

Abhishek

Samson (WK)

Tilak

Parag

Hardik (WK)

Dube

Rinku

Axar

Also we need to extract more utility out of Abhishek. He can bowl and should bowl regularly when we are in good position.

In ideal case yes..This SMAT has tilted selection in Kishan’s favor else he wudnt have made it..

Pandya’s frequent injury concerns may have made him not an automatic choice for captaincy..but I do like the idea of replacing SKY with Parag..however Parag is himself coming back after injury with no notable performances..he will be back I think after good IPL

I saw Abhishek tried carrom balls in the past and want him to get more utilized as a bowler.. I believe Parag and him if improve their bowling we have great lineup as we can easily swith them against left/right hand batters

I will play both Varun and Kuldeep . In subcontinent, HAVING BOTH THE WRIST SPINNERS IS A MUST especially in SL . Shivam has a weakness against express pace and I would play one of either Shivam or Rinku dependending on batting form . Batting till 7 is sufficient for a T20I match in subcontinent .                            Abhishek Sharma can roll his hand in bowling if one of the bowlers has an off-day.  PS SKY NEEDS TO REGAIN HIS BATTING FORM in NZ SERIES .

That is an option. India might also play 4 spinners (Varun, Kuldeep, Axar and Washi) in conditions that favor it, like Chennai and Colombo.

South Africa exposed big chinks in both Surya and Jaiswal's batting, they are not bowling on Sky's body or leg side and Jaiwsal is struggling with balls on the 6th and 7th stump line and lack of good footwork is hampering him.the immediate concern is Sky's form on how he will counter with balls only on his offside as he just cant score at all at the moment.

Sky has just stopped playing on Off-side since Ind adopted v.aggresive batting approach, Playing at #3/4 without any off-side game can not work in T20is or at any position.

Not able to access or having limited game of any side can not work in T20is, all he tries to play is that pull/ramp shot+ flick of pads vs pace and sweep vs spin.

Not sure what happened to him but he used to be a proper batter who can play on both off and leg.

Jaiswal can improve that 6/7 ball line is kind of kryptonite for LH batters, ca not really do much but he needs to stop pushing the ball with hard hands.

He should come at 6. Otherwise will waste deliveries

Ashwin is the only one who talks about role clarity.  "DUbe is not a finsiher he is a spin enforcer"  "Rinku singh is a better finsiher against pace".  But this "batting order is overrated" guy can still screw us over with weird batting order.

Ashwin is nt telling anything new that no one knows, its just that he does nt toe the line and can tell and explain his point better. He also knows his limits too so when he talks about rohit or kolhi he does not go much in details .

And sometimes where he can nt tell exact issue/thing he drops a hint , ppl in know how can connect

He talks like a player not like some1 who is doing a quick presentation on a topic which they prepared 1 hr back.

He has knowledge and ability to share it with ppl without putting/targeting any player. Most ind player can not explain cricket in general and forget about talking tactics.

Ind players does not play other leagues so they are not confortable batting at different slots and they do not do anything which is out of their comfort zone.

In t20 batter should be ready to come at any number it should be the point of entry rather than number. Say if couple spinner are operating than batters like Dube should come in or something similar, last game SA sent out other batters ahead of markram and at one point they were ahead of the game.

Marsh was lower mo batter then he came at #3 now he is opening

HP should be captain. Parag in place of SKY. Tilak permenent at 3.

Sky will make merry against Ned, Namibia and USA so it's the only good thing about him.

That will likely be the team after the WC. Dube will also exit after the WC and Iyer might come back to captain both white ball formats

Best possble squad now. No complaints. :wp106:

SKY form is a worry but he still has time to turn it around. NO Gill is such a relief. Kishan is welcome addition.

Lets back the boyzz!!!!!! Remember the team have won 40 of the last 45 T20 matches in last 2 years.

Incredible !!! :isalute:
