Gollum Posted February 4 Posted February 4 (edited) Many of you guys take U-19 far too seriously. Most of these kids won't even make it to FC, itihas gawah hai. We just need 2-3 good prospects from every batch. Observed the same in junior hockey WC, though that is still better, U-21. Edited February 4 by Gollum

Austin 3:!6 Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Will Bihari boy Suryavanshi step up today or will get out cheaply again playing a hack shot?

Maybe closest is Sindhu, who has got some India A games Forward Defence 1
Forward Defence Posted February 4 Posted February 4 We ain't winning this. They have some very canny spinners. Afg can actually upset Eng if they get a few things right. nitinbwj 1

There was also a left arm spinner Vicky Ostwal who I thought was better than Sindhu with the ball. Vickydev 1

vvvslaxman Posted February 4 Author Posted February 4 This Afghan uncle team is a very strong team. Hard to beat. India has made 5 finals in a row. If Afghan makes final no problem.
nitinbwj Posted February 4 Posted February 4 I have no issues with Afg winning but they are not U19 ffs. raki05 1

Tillu Posted February 4 Posted February 4 The most important question is will this same batch of Afghan players play the next world cup as they are all still under 19. Manucrick and neel roy 2

Forward Defence Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Was going through the various U19 squads over the years. 2010 we finished 5th but that batch gave us Rahul, Mayank, Harshal Patel, Sandeep Sharma, Unadkat and Mandeep Singh. It also gave USA Netravalkar and Harmeet Singh(though Harmeet rose to prominence in the 2012 event). Compare that to 2012 when we won - only Hanuma Vihari and Sandeep Sharma(2 T20Is) have played international cricket. neel roy 1
