Teams are selected based on coaches preference and talent available in the country.

Coz I recall selectors making Indian team a copy of RCB under Kohli - top heavy, prone to collapses and under-achieving.

Gill himself isn't any superstar or commands that aura which the last superstar Jokli somewhat had

There is nothing astonishing about Gill playing this way in the IPL he has been doing this since 2022.However, outside the IPL,it is a different story altogether.In T20 internationals,right before the WC when teams came with actual strategies,he looked like a deer in the headlights

Bhai itna mat ro... keep your expectations low coz unless GT changes its team strategy and approach this is what's gonna happen - reach playoffs and then lose.

GT has won the IPL and been in 2 finals :dontknow: 

 

We have to give credit to RCB. It was the best team in the competition. Had weaknesses but its strengths covered it up.

RCB isn’t a perfect team. They have good trundlers who can be smacked on flat pitches  and their main spinner is Krunal Pandya :hysterical:
