What's the evidence and does Sai Sudarshan look better?

Which SENA country requires success against high pace?

I said there is an explanation.  It's not one many are going to like.  He doesn't have a great backfoot technique .    And they probably measured his reaction time at the HPC

That was just an excuse and he was made a scapegoat. Nobody knew for certain who leaked info. But seeing how there were so many leaks from the MI dressing room, I'm willing to bet that it wasn't Sarfaraz who leaked info but it was done by someone more senior and TM took the easy way out by blaming Sarfaraz coz they never wanted him in the first place.

And even if it was proven that he did it, fine him or suspend him for a couple of matches. Can't be a lifetime ban.

I do sympathize with Sarfraz. He is not entirely blameless. Hiis game against spin looks atrocious at times. He is sweeping everything regardless of length. Did it against NZ and failed. Did the same in the IPL on road wickes and got dismissed.  He has such a low percentage sweep shot. He should have made some big runs in IPL and few  matches where ball turned. He could have solidified his spot.

The very fact we're expecting Sarfaraz to perform in IPL and nail his Test spot with his IPL performances is what's wrong with the system. Why should likes of Sarfaraz, Pujara, Dravid etc. need to perform in IPL for Test selection? That's idiocy and not gonna happen as Tests and T20 are worlds apart. Same for ODIs as you can take a chance on an exceptional IPL performer like Sooryavanshi but that has to be an odd exception but not the selection criteria for ODIs and Tests.

In the same test Rahul batted after Sarfraz and Pant but scored 12 runs and magically disappeared in next two tests with injury.

He come back as opener in the team.Sarfraz is not even in the squad .

Format illiteracy is an epidemic.

That is the way it goes. They way they see it IPL is full of international class bowlers. If they score there that is an advantage.   ALso in A games you should score heavily.  For some reason Sarfraz didn't play A game against SA and Australia.

While I sympathize with Sarfaraz, this innings doesn't give me much confidence. 90% of his shots even in this video were either sweep or dab to third man.

That said, given how much he has scored in domestics, he deserves a run at No.5 to see what he can offer at internationals. He can easily play ahead of Jurel

Never got the hype. Limited player who looks good at domestic level but does not have the gears for the international game.

He's hardly a bright new thing as 30 next year. Same age as Paddikal who people don't rate.

Does not pass the @maniac eye and belly tests.

There is a better chance his brother finding a place in the INdian side as he can bowl too. But guys like AYush Mhatre are already at the next level.

If belly test was a thing, Rohit would've been discarded ages ago. Looks like some bellies are more equal than others :phehe:
