Cricket Ireland should have told their team to lose to India as every tour  by India raises moeny for the board, now that india has suffered a 0-2 whitewash by Ireland B team, BCCI will be in no mood to send a team again. Financial loss incoming for Irish board

Time to tour Netherlands I think.  They are objectively better team than Irish and regularly beats them at associate level.

BCCI would be tempted for sure.  Pakistan SL NZ England already play Games there.

We have played mostly in SC conditions last 3+ years including ICC tournaments this has made lot of FTBs look much much better players than they are..I have never liked Iyer, Samson and Kishan. All three benefited with India playing non stop on these flat pitches, Samson though played some genuine match winning knocks in WC, Kishan can still score runs if if he can make some adjustments ...but Iyer? the smug face is a tailender captaining India has to be a joke. Its going to be fun watching him bat in England

Anyway this year was mostly about non-cricket sports. We won the T20 WC, happy with that.

FIFA WC

Hockey WC

CWG

Asian Games

Chess Candidates, Olympiad and Gukesh's first title defence

Hope Gukesh proves everyone wrong, Sindarov starts fav but I expect Gukesh to come better prepared and it wont be one sided.

T20s are all about current/recent form, there is no consistency or longevity element associated with it ,more so in current era

Samson was never consistent, had a terrific SA tour, the T20 leg with Tilak,Kishan was brought back after a good run in SMAT, Abhishek had a great 2025

There is no guarantee all of them will carry same form in 2028,it's a very volatile format, need to keep updating in the meantime as per upcoming WC conditions

Our main focus should be now CWC27 but then we made a major blunder by appointing Sarpuncture as Captain who himself is an  awful T20 player

Your captain should have either leadership skills or batting/bowling credentials to merit a place,he weakens the xi which already has Tilak,Axar and Samson(who is a match winner when he is set,but takes time )Sundar(GG darling)

Amen

At some point, Gukesh will lose his title, hope he loses it to a fellow India like Pragg or Arjun, maybe even Nihal if his trajectory continues. Crown should remain in India, that is my only wish.

This is awesome.

These two won a medal in Asian games ? my memory is kinda blurry

Would be v fun following Asian games this time around.  We may medal in volleyball as well this time.

Though we are ranked 8th in Asia but massive improvement there

Secured direct qualification for AVC continental championship in Japan as well @Gollum

Asian Games is the highlight of the year for me. Counting days for that to start.

I love Arjun the most , I know pragg deserves too but I will be gutted if Arjun does not win at some point.
