No, but we can be a mid level side at least in Asian circuit.

Languishing at 138th spot as of now.  Unacceptable.

Losing to BD Afg Maldives is a habit

Not enough imvestment or interest in football. Every young kid aspires to become a cricketer or next Kohli.

Yes,with Vaibhav's rise,im seeing a huge influx of kids into nearby cricket coaching academies and clubs. That has amplified everything all of a sudden. We need a personality like that to totally galvanize a generation.Genetics and other factors matter, of course, but the inspiration surely has to come from somewhere

Can India qualify in next 10-12 yrs?

No not really. The gap's only going to get bigger now between us and 2nd tier nations in Asia because we cant even qualify for Asia Cup(24 teams) while they are getting to World Cup and playing with the best. Their growth will be similar to Iran, SK, Japan

Also money has dried up. Reliance had a 15 year deal with AIFF from 2010 which ended last year so revenue is almost 1/4th now on. Maybe OCIs can help us become a force in South Asian football but thats it

Only way is to allow OCIs to participate even poach some Indian origin players from abroad.  Short term get some local African talent in there as well.

Money and investment are key factors

That way we can manage in Asian Cup qualifiers and there will be significant interest as well.

The only video you need to see which covers all issues in Indian football. Busts a few myths too, very informative from a proper ground journalist who is hated by AIFF.

A bit long but worth it, watch at 1.5-2x. Subtitles in English for those who dont understand Hindi properly

Maybe now with BJP in Bengal, we can remove kanglus and maybe can focus on growth. Lol

I have alway played cricket in US. But with my new company i had a bosnian and french origin colleague. So we played football and vollyeball a lot more.  But if you look at most Indians in USA they just prefer to play cricket or tennis. Occasionally vollye ball. Football requires a lot of athleticism.

England is not winning anything. Germany, Argentina, France and Brazil look way better. Even Spain is slightly ahead and Eng are at the same level as US at the moment.

Germany is finished.they are losing to Ecuador

Let the knockouts begin. It was an inconsequential match for them. They still topped the group. Think of it as a bump on the road.

Backing Ecuador to upset Germans... Their defence is top notch and Germans seem to be a team in decline.

Will be a great game regardless

Hahah predicted this one.... Two weeks back:hatsoff: Ecuador's defence indeed came to the party.

Norway has rested there main players. 10 replacements incl Haaland. Norway doesn't want to win against France. They have conceded before the game even begins. The coach wants to finish second and look forward to next week. That's pathetic mentality.
