Ishant Sharma's natural length is not suited to bowling in India.   Most  tall, bouncy pacers without the abilty to skid the ball off the surface have faced similar problems in the last 10 years.

 

He has done well in away test matches in the last 3 years and a bit..... averaging 30  with a SR of 53.

In India, you need skiddy fast bowlers who have high release speeds and can reverse the ball most of the time..... like Shami, Umesh, Starc  etc.

HE did well in Initial phase in India

He is not the same bowler, his runup follow through wrist are diff.....

HE n zak used reverse swing in 2008 Ind-AUs series.........

In his intial phase he was a lot better bowler then he is now.

Same Ishant did well in India till 2011. In his first 13 tests, he had 46 wickets at home at 28.

Nothing wrong with the thread...in fact even during the duration of this thread since it's inception,it won't be the exaggeration to say that Ishant has bowled more match winning or best spells by any other Indian fast bowler in test cricket.
