No doubt very good, but there are some movies where you go "oh yes, this deserves the academy, I don't care about the competition". That's how the 2008 winner Departures felt (even though I love Baader Meinhof Complex) and this one didn't, at least to me.

How many here have watched it? I have. Just reminding those scenes gives me cringe :(( There are even more creepier movies. No movie shocked me like "The Re-Animator", which is acutally a comedy movie. It's based on a book by H.P.Lovecraft, I became a fan of his books after watching his movies. I suggest to watch these movies, The Thing (1982). Rated as the scariest movie ever made by many. Even surpasses the exorcist. If u want to watch the original classic, "The Thing from Another World". Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Again a remake. A rare case of both the original and remake being awesome. Watch both of it. Also, Videodrome. Another awesome movie. Calling conjuring as a "horror" movie, will seem like a joke compared to these movies.

b555 Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Agree. 1920 was a lot more spooky. I havent seen 1920 but what i want to say is that people were going all omg types on the horror level in conjuring, i actually felt it wasnt worth my money or time
