vvvslaxman Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 smith 25 centuries.. won 17 , drawn 8  Not only that some of them were instrumental in phenomenal 4th innings chase. Infact Smith has the highet number of centuries in 4th innings that resulted in win in the history of cricket. 4 centuries 4 wins. 100% record.
b555 Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Is Pietersen the best England batsmen ever?? What do you think??
rkt.india Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 But he is South African :dontknow: BTW, he is a great batsman no doubt. He had taken apart even great Australian team's bowling attack.
deathmonger Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 LOL England have 9 batsmen with 50+ avg. One of them is Trott who is barely hanging there. The latest match played by any of the other eight is in 1968. No of 50+ avg batsmen since: India: 5 Pakistan: 3 Australia: 6 West Indies: 4 Sri Lanka: 3 South Africa: 3 No wonder these guys started labeling their own batsmen as legends, ATGs etc. Their batsmen at their peak don't average 50 and it will come down by 1-2 later anyway like it happens for everyone. Real ATGs like Sachin, Dravid, Lara, Ponting avgd nearly in the 60s at their peak.
b555 Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 ABEY ITS POMS WE ARE TALKING ABOUT 50 IS GODLIKE FOR them
Viki_J Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 What do you think?? :yay: yes he is :two_thumbs_up:
deathmonger Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 What about WG Grace? has a batting avg lower than ashwin.
Bublu Bhuyan Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Jack Hobbs is usually rated among the top 4 batsman ever. Then there is Wally Hammond and Leonard Hutton. Pietersen isn't even anywhere close to them.
Precambrian Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Lol is this a joke thrd? Jack hobbs.... gooch... gower... etc all bertter than hin
ravishingravi Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 At first I thought tis is ridiculous. Then I started to think o all the batsman through my era of watching the game and eras gone by, I have to say the OP is not so ridiculous.
Crookbond Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Jack Hobbs is usually rated among the top 4 batsman ever. Then there is Wally Hammond. Pietersen isn't even anywhere close to them. +1
