I remember cursing him in my college hostel when he got hit for 6 back to back 6s against Australia in the 2010 WT20 in WI. Don't remind me of my first time ever watching India play live. He also dropped a crucial catch in the preceding game against Australia - Watson IIRC, who went on to smack him for a bunch of sixes later on. To be fair, Dhoni made spinners bowl into the wind that game, that made it easier. But still.

Jadeja has made 556 runs and picked up 68 wickets in 13 matches, both being higher than those of Kapil and Johnson's numbers. Jadeja averages 42.76 with bat and 23.48 with ball. http://www.espncricinfo.com/india-v-australia-2016-17/content/story/1088751.html By season Player Mat Runs HS Bat Av 100 Wkts BBI Bowl Av 5 Ct St Ave Diff Season RA Jadeja (INDIA) 13 556 90 42.76 0 71 7/48 22.83 4 10 0 19.93 2016/17 N Kapil Dev (INDIA) 13 535 84 33.43 0 63 7/56 20.25 5 6 0 13.18 1979/80 MG Johnson (AUS) 12 527 123* 35.13 1 60 8/61 25.25 2 3 0 9.88 2008/09 To be fair, the average is boosted by some not outs. But he's gotten some quality runs for us this season - and the best of the lot was this test match. A 50 run lead in the opposite direction and we could have easily been chasing 250 on this wicket. And a very different outcome. I will be shocked if India win and Jaddu is not MoM. Should be MoS as well.

Handled the new ball well defensively in the last few overs of D2 and top scored with 63 that saw the needle move from Aus's favor to India's. And @The Outsider, you've already been given some reading homework, may want to do that before spouting baseless nonsense that suits your confirmation bias, while you admit yourself that you have hardly seen him bowl. Not all spinners have to have the same style of bowling to be effective. Not all left-armers have to clone the Bedi method. Lords 50

sensible-indian Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Jaddu has been sensational this season. Today was a supremely clutch series defining knock. Will end it by being both the world's number 1 bowler and number 1 AR.

veer Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 I remember ICFers mocking him as 'malnourished'... and calling him Dhoni's pet.. But.. wow.. times have changed. More than anything, I like his fielding style.. the guy is crazy ground fielder. His background story style article on Cricinfo was really impressive.. specially things said by his childhood coach. sscomp32, Sidhoni and sandeep 3

someone Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 He always had high potential. For last many years, I was perhaps one of the very few in this forum who believed in his ability. Many users here simply ridiculed him.
