BeautifulGame Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Gayle Inn:9 Runs : 450 Ave : 90 SR : 164.23 MOM : 3 Scores 92 (MI) : 1(SRH) : 13 (SRH) : 82 (KKR) : 4 (CSK) : 49 n.o. (RR) : 13(DD) : 175 n.o (PWI): 18(MI) Hussey Inn : 8 Runs : 445 Ave :74.16 SR : 134.84 MOM : 4 Scores 20(MI) : 86 n.o (KXIP) : 6(RCB) : 65 (DD) : 40 (KKR) : 88 (RR) : 45 (SRH) : 95 (KKR) Think Hussey has been more consistent than Gayle so far this IPL despite Gayle playing some whirlwind knocks
Detonator Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Hussey already got 445 runs. :woot: For me both are good... Hussey can handle better bowlers nd can play in any pitch.. And he is part of champion side.. I wld rate hussey as the better cricketer, by a weee little gap..
vvvslaxman Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Hussey proved me wrong  I really felt he was scratching around in the early part much like Hayden in this last stint. He came back very well. In terms of value it is hard to tell. Hussey needed atleast a bit of help from someone like Jaddu , Dhoni at times in the backend. But Gayle had to do it most of the things by himself. It is a tight race.
jalebi_bhai Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Hussey.....he is up there among the top 5 LOI batsmen of all-time......Viv Richards, Bevan, Hussey, Dhoni and SRT/Miandad sharing the 5th spot.....
Zelig Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 The results of the poll would have been different had it been created on the day of 175 no. :om:
yoda Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Hussey is much more consistent, obviously, and he can hit at a decent rate.
maniac Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Gayle definitely. ......hussey is not a match winner....just sets up games.....gayle finishes ****
Swing_n_Speed Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Hussey. Cos he scored some of that chasing massive totals. The one against Rajasthan comes to mind.
DomainK Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Gayle is a bit of hit and miss. He is the best on flat tracks. But Hussey is the better batsman.
diga Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Chris Gayle, with 54.97, is the only player with a batting average over 50 in the IPL (min 1000 runs). Shane Watson is one of only three players averaging in the 40s - his 42.08 is fourth on the list, behind Gayle, Michael Hussey and Shaun Marsh 3 left handers..
Sidhoni Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Gayle definitely. ......hussey is not a match winner....just sets up games.....gayle finishes **** Gayle finishes? :cantstop: He is just a FTB and on top of that BFB-batting first bully. Also, can only hit teams like PWI
FischerTal Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Gayle finishes? :cantstop: He is just a FTB and on top of that BFB-batting first bully. Also, can only hit teams like PWI Dhobi ka Pujari calls other players FTB :hysterical:
carnish Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Best Bat this IPL: Gambhir, Rohit, Dinesh, Hussey, Kohli, Gayle, Finch, Vohra, Sehwag, Bisla, Watson
I6MTW Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Best Bat this IPL: Gambhir' date=' Rohit, Dinesh, Hussey, Kohli, Gayle, Finch, Vohra, Sehwag, Bisla, Watson[/quote'] Vohra and Sehwag are 1 match wonders. Bisla failed all but 2 matches and one of the was vs csk. Dhoni should be on the list. So should Jadeja.
