Lord Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 it will if they dont change team after loss why would they after winning
BeautifulGame Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Agree.Need to play Shami and Unadkat in next match and bring in Shukla into the squad for 4th ODI.Seriously its not like they can bowl any worse these 2.
SLICKR392 Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 And ASHWIN Yep. Torres needs to be dropped for a few games.
saneindian Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 In 2 out of 3 matches in this series, Aus have failed to defend 200 and now 359. Will be harsh to judge our bowlers based on these matches. Having said that Mishra deserves a go after his record breaking last series and just for variety, Unadkat can come in, not that those changes will make much of a difference if pitches continue to be like this.
maniac Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Unadkat has improved but shami is a joke, worse than vinay...misra for aswin though
saneindian Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 The bigger concern IMO is Ashwin who looks to be struggling and short on confidence. Before the WI test series, he needs to play some FC cricket to get back his rhythm. At least Ojha seems to be back among wickets, so thats some relief for the test side.
youngindia Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 In 2 out of 3 matches in this series, Aus have failed to defend 200 and now 359. Will be harsh to judge our bowlers based on these matches. . they have a rich history, a efficient system for pace bowlers and they have a bright future. we neither have that history and our present/future is nowhere near as bright.so stop this deluded comparison. our bowlers are a huge problem because of the form the players are displaying(ashwin and ishant).or they are not good enough(vinay) and the mere fact even their lesser bowlers are better than our best! leave alone a cummins or pattinson.
adi B Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 The bowling attack is poor..the batsmen will bail u out in home matchrs where they can chase everything but it won't happen a lot outside sc ..we saw what happened in aus where the bowlers kept on conceding 280+ which is equivalent score of 300+ in Indian pitches but the batsmen failed their,so India have to throw some of these useless trundlers out and select genuine pacers who at least will take wkts even if they are expensive
The Realist Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 They should not even be near the squad never mind playing regularly but Dhoni is just too stubborn to admit to any mistakes and Ind will continue to play with 9 players.
adi B Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 And ASHWIN I agree if he doesn't improve his bowling considering the wc is in Australia where he has a poor record
Number Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 All our spinners bowled as poorly as these 2. They just had to bore the brunt while bowling at death.

We almost bowled out every team in the CT
G_B_ Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 the thing with Ashwin is why the fudge does he need all those variations? I thought he did extremely well in test cricket by dropping those dud variations. That pause does nothing. He simply allows the batsman to tee off.
Cricketics Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Lol I just wrote this some where else. Agree also they need to play Mishra. He can do much better job that cheer leading from the bench.
Soorma_Bhopali Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Ash win and vijay definitely need tobe dropped for the next game in favor of mishra and shami ahmed ..Ishant still has good stats for this year and in the absence of Yadav in the side , I don't see any good replacement for him now ..
zaqw222222 Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 I think vinay will be dropped and Unadkat will play next match but Ishant will not be dropped neither Ashwin will be dropped
MCcricket Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 We won't know if we have a Waqar or Waseem until we try them, but certainly guys like Suyal, Pankaj are faster and better pedigree, it is retarded when people ask stupid questions like those, if selectors were wise then instead of wasting two years on hacks like Mithun, VK, Unadkat, guys with higher pedigree would have been world class by now, there is no denying Pankaj, Suyal, Shami, Pandey, Shukla being far better then the current losers.
express bowling Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 We have bad pacers. The success of our batsmen or the failure of the Aussie bowlers today does not change that. The team management and selectors should not forget this.
G_B_ Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Try freaking somebody. Shukla did well in the champions league and IMO is worth a shot for the remaining bank of ODIs for which the squad has not been picked. Its sad in a way. Vinay tries hard but has no talent or the physical attributes. I feel for the guy , i honestly do, he is probably trying his best and giving 100%. But just like Dinda he is not international material.
Gunner Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Bhuvan Yadav Suyal Mishra Rasool IMO this is our best possible ODI attack and is unlikely to concede 300 even on a flat surface.
