speedheat Posted June 5, 2017 Share Posted June 5, 2017 This proves an old adage a bowler is made by a captain, Umesh has developed greatly under Virat n so has our pace attack who were made fun of n ridiculed by our previous captain who had no idea how to develop his bowlers or use ,guide them. Absolutely, you need a captain who backs a pacer and give him a confidence to extract the best out of him, Our attack used to be a laughing stock just few years ago coz we had that phoney captain who use to back jokers in the name of pace bowling to hide his own limitations. All his overs were around 141 to 147k...Serious Pace ..may be averaging 144k.. Amir wahab were bowling 136 to 144k and were bowling SHort and were not too accurate too. BHuvi and Umesh were trying to outsmart the batsman..very accurate though not too fast. umesh was not 145+ but many of his balls were rising and pak tail enders did not like the bounce he generated and so gave 2 wickets Rightarmfast and express bowling 2 Link to comment

Jadeja and JADHAV as Spinners. i agree Bhuvi has better Yorkers but SHAMMI is more wicket taking and a little better than Bhuvi, against South Africa we need SHammi playing. the track is not swinging and hence bhuvi's edge goes missing. if conditions help swing then BHuvi is great.
