Kartik Tyagi is unfortunately not in UP Ranji Squad, don't know what's going wrong with that poor fellow. He played VHT and SMAT so was in rhythm and should have been picked for Ranji as well, but unfortunately he is nowhere to be seen.

Tyagi should move to other Ranji sides like Arjun Tendulkar

If BCCI gets someone like Steyn or Brett Lee as the bowling coach, the motivation level of our pacers would be much higher.  And both are technically good too.

 

There is a visible dip in the motivation level of our pacers in the last 14 months or so, starting WC 2021.

We need a Captain, a Head Coach and a Bowling Coach who are aggressive and want to win at all costs.

 

People who want to dominate the opposition and intimidate them into submission in big matches.

 

What we have is a TM who are afraid of losing control of the match. They are afraid of their bowlers getting hit in the search of wickets or their batters losing wickets in search of quick runs. Basically they are afraid of aggression and are ending up putting pressure on themselves rather than the opposition. 

 

Theories work only when they are good and can be implemented too. This requires clarity of thought and courage which this TM lack severely. 

 

This pseudo-intellectual and defensive bunch won't work.

Our 2003 WC line-up featured Srinath, Zaheer, Nehra, Agarkar bowling quick when Ganguly was the captain. In the 2015 WC Dhoni played Umesh and Shami both bowling very fast at that time and even Mohit was hitting 142 clicks. 

 

What improved drastically with Captain Kohli was the ability to sustain speeds and intensity in test matches and to pick wickets as a pack. 

 

Too many medium pacers were never played between 1998 and mid 2021, if quicker pacers were available.

 

But this is changing in 2022. We are often playing 3 medium pacers together and even Captain Dhoni rarely, if ever, did this. Even Captain Dravid did not. 

 

But Coach Dravid and Captain Rohit are different. They are trying to include every single prominent medium pacer in the squad.

 

Can't blame Indians in general for this as this has not been the trend for the last 24 years barring 2022.

we have umran malik, kuldeep sen, mohsin khan, sushant mishra, akash singh, karitik tyagi, kamlesh nagarkoti yet we keep selecting bhuvi, shardul thakur, mukesh kumar (India A),  deepak chahar what is the point of talent when you dont know how to use then indian cricket and BCCI has been compromised by politics and egos

I was certain Pakistan has got this....  Wood was the point of difference eventually.  Excellent stuff.  Bending his back & getting it to reverse at serious pace.  Too hot to handle for lower midde order of Pak.
