Haris Raufs average speed yesterday was 146kph. That is extremely good for one day cricket and quicker than most pacers top speed.

Kohli is best Indian batter against Express pace...  By a long shot. 

Not a single Indian player is comfortable with the pace of Rauf or Wood especially. 

Maybe Gill with his backfoot play comes close.  But he is way too loose. 

 

Kohli's issues are spin & his hitting abilities vs spin.

All trundlers are bowling from Meerut..no Kartik Tyagi still.

Vaibhav Choudhary is hardly a 120 kph bowler..but he got 2 wickets courtesy of tired shots by the batters.

 

Need to see how Purnank bowls in death, he was bowling decently quick with new ball.

Shami was 135 to 145 till 2021 and Ishant 132 to 142 /145 till 2019.

If not for Kohli, the H2H against Pak last decade would have been ugly af. We saw how the other IPL superstars fared in last few Indo-Pak encounters.

Kohli was 37 off 36  at the 15.1 mark in the 2021 encounter before he could accelerate.  He could not even hit Hasan Ali whereas Pant was trying to take the game on.

 

35 off 34 in the first Asia Cup match vs PAK. Pandya won that match with bat and ball.

 

2nd Asia Cup match, he batted really well until the 20th over when he had a stinker in the 20th and just wasted 4 balls and got out.

 

MCG - a good knock but it required extraordinary hitting at the end.   He was 15 off 24 in the 12th over after coming in the 2nd over. 

                He may have done better than KL and Rohit but he's so slow now and eating up so many balls that he's ruining the momentum of every innings he plays.    He should not be afforded that luxury any longer.
