If Saha is unable to play then Dhoni must play. Wicket keeping is a specialist job, more so in test matches. He was selected for the whole tour not just two matches and he is physically fine. Maybe that is why he is still in Sydney and has not returned back to India.

News channels say Saha is fit and ready to play.... Dhoni is a backup if Saha gets injured (and that he is normally injury prone)

As a contracted player, he is obligated to be on a standby until the test starts. There is no time to send someone else. Let's hope that Saha is OK and it does not come down to that.
