Start preparing for the excuses and spin that's going to come your way to explain defeats. "I don't give two hoots about results, what's important is that we lay down" "process matters more than results" "Young young young. In 12 months this team will be world beaters" "Injuries. Bhuvi wasn't fully fit. Dhoni was carrying niggles. Dhawan had a mysterious wrist injury" "Those bastard Aussie curators prepared bad pitches." "Clearly the umpires were out to screw India because of India's stance against DRS. Did you see that Kohli was given out LBW by DRS? Clearly, DRS is a flawed system" "It's not fair that india and Afghanistan were given equal practice pitches. India deserves better practice wickets than Afghanistan" "The food being given to us is crap. The pakodas didn't have enough oil, the naans didn't have enough butter, and the ras gulls didn't have enough sugar. I don't why they insist on giving us athlete diets. We're not athletes. We're indian"" "The 12 year old African child in the stands said fugg off mate to Rohit. This is very racist. Rohit had done nothing wrong. All he said to the child was "nig**r". We will be filing a 10 million dollar lawsuit against that child for being racist against Indians."

I. Bhuvaneswar was my only hope. Looks like he is not fully fit . He is definitely not even 60% . Everyone can do an average job. That's about it in current form. In other words. this is probably the first world cup where we go with zero trump card.
Again, excuses. No one can bowl so many overs without being fit. BK was never going to be great in Australia. Conditions in Aus are very much flat like India just pitches have more pace and bounce, but not much lateral movement. Our bowlers are not likely to use that bounce. Whenever, there is lack of lateral movement, our bowlers struggle. Tournaments you mentioned, bowlers did well were mostly played on pitches which helped lateral movement for pacers.

In 2003 Brett lee factor was huge for Australia than McGrath and warne. It even influenced gagnulys decision to field first on a road. we need that one inform , good bowler which can unsettle the plan of opposition. U

I am already at peace that we will have a run till QF after ordinary group stages. I don't see how this team will progress after QF. Too weak in the bowling...actually I see a downfall in their quality in the last 2 years. 1 or 2 batsman in form only. Rest are struggling mightily & no way they can get into form before WC gets over.

One or two wins under our belt and the whole tempo will be upside down.. Our bowlers are not bad if you ask me... First game against Australia, we were pushing them to corner until Raina and couple of other overs. I think if we consistently post above par scores then we can win games.. And for that, we need only 2-3 good wins to get it going.

Australia is not winning the World Cup, my friend. You heard it here first. They are playing at home and playing the World Cup in front of your home crowd is immense pressure. Even Brazil choked in World Cup in front of their home crowd. The reason why India won the World Cup in 2011 was because they knew how to absorb the pressure and one of the main factors was playing under pressure in IPL year after year in front of huge crowds and in tense situations. Its this ability to absorb pressure which will help India in 2015 as well and this time, there are not many expectations from them because of playing in alien conditions so they can play even more freely.
Brazil did NOT choke but were beaten square by a superior team. Brazil reaching the SF was beyond their potential and form. Neymar absence didn't help.

Its hard to predict. Who would have bet that Ishant, jadeja and dhawan would have led India to the champions trophy win in England while dhoni and raina did basically nothing with the bat? ironically India won all of its 5 ICC tournament led by the bowling 1st and clutch batting 2nd, not through batsman pilling on runs like their out of fashion, and kohli dhoni and raina have good record when it comes to batting under pressure and I actually think that BK, ishant, umesh/shami, akshar will be good on australian pitches. They really didn't do much wrong in the last two ODIs considering the were defending below par scores.

Our players have become worse than they were in the Champions Trophy. Other than Kohli we don't have a single batsman who can consistently put up a fight in Australia. We know already that Rohit will get one 140+ score among a string of scores less than 15. We know a Dhawan will never cross 25. We know Rahane will get a bunch of 30s but fail to convert. We know that Dhoni, Jaddu, Rayadu, Binny or whoever is batting in the middle order will have some run a ball 50s to resurrect India after top order collapses and take us to around 250-- woefully inadequate with this bowling attack. Our bowlers are reasonably good in India conditions, average is English conditions and poor in Australian conditions. Expect the usual drop catches, failures to hit the stumps even there are all 3 stumps to aim at, bizarre field placings and ridiculous bowling changes. In the meanwhile numerous other teams - Aus, SA and NZ at least have improved considerably since the Champions Trophy.

Was banned for doping if I remember. Brett Lee was sensational in that WC. I dont think anyone could play him in that WC.

Australia chokers? You're joking, I assume. Besides, the WC isn't even the biggest prize for them.
