If Australia bat first, I expect a 330-ish score with India folding at 260-270. That seems about right.

But the pitch being misread by the Aussies and the home crowd turning hostile by desi takeover are two things bookies and analysts haven't fully considered. Then there is the comforting fact that Srini mama works in mysterious ways ;-)

If India overcome this weakness and play solidly as they have done throughout the tournament the match is theirs. Get 150 in last 15 - India not doing this so far.

In fact, Ind should think it is playing in Ind (and that should give the team more confidence) * Ind will be able to handle pressure better. Playing at home and against Ind (fan support), Aus will be under more pressure (Is it a wonder that they are practising sledging?). Aus will be going in as the fav so that is more pressure to handle Also looking at the past, major tourneys in Aus/NZ have been won by Asian teams - India (1985 Word Series) and Pak (1992 WC), so may be it is time for Ind to keep that record intact too :nice: Obviously, anything can happen on the day, but I am expecting Ind to edge out Aus What if India loses toss and Aus bat?

I always think England look far more comfortable in front of a silent English crowd at Lords than 20, 000 crazy Indians at Edgbaston, like at the Champions Trophy final and last year's ODI series. That said I've backed Aus to win the thing since last year so I'll stick with them
