I have been hearing about Pakistan in transition for about a decade now. We lost 1 test to Zimbabwe Mr.Marut :) NOT a test series. Learn facts and then come to me :)

We beat number 1 team South Africa in a test in 2013. We beat Australia number 1 team 2-0 in a test series in 2014. Pakistan cricket is NOT dying, no matter how much Indians want it too :) Pakistan has won one test series (Aus) in last 3 years at Home/UAE. They havent won a series outside home for even longer not even in Zim Comfortably the 2nd worst team in 50 over world cups behind West Indies since 99

Their series win in RSA(which India has never done till date) and 3-0 whitewash of Poms(against whom India is 2-9 since 2011 WC) was pretty impressive.:hatsoff: Rumors of Pak cricket's death are greatly exaggerated.

THeir bats are too new so off coruse you can't expect them to win a series right away. 3-0 is bit shocking as I expected atleast one win, but then think again and the bat which was already pretty poor in world cup, was made even more weaker by sending all the new guys together in one team. It takes time to develop. This team together did not even play for Perhaps Pakistan A side so you can't expect them to do good right away. Now if they stick to this combinatio for a while, it will be good for them. They will make big mistake by dropping 3-4 players out of this squad as this was just the start of their career or a comeback.

Haris Sohail and Babar Azam look technically good,Azhar Ali is also a solid batsman. Some batsman with good technique are comming up. Also here scoring runs are difficult soecially if you are from northern punjab where ball moves alot and is good for seam in winters, Haris Sohail is possibly the best outcome on batting side for pakistan Who has scored runs with orthodox style of play.

bones Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Well the downward spiral started a very long time ago, it was when Moin Khan and Wasim Akram were captains of the side, it then continued and took full flight with Inzamam in charge and the rest have been a shambles since. Misbah restored temporarily some respect to the side, almost carrying the team single handedly with some support from others in tests. Make no mistake about it, it's been a long long time coming. Until and only until they allow a fair selection system, Pakistan won't recover. I'm surprised it's actally taken this long to drop these low levels. A lot of commentators have spoken openly about the most natural talent being in Pakistan. Have heard Nasser Hussain, Atherton, Healy and Sanjay say there is immense talent in the youth of Pakistan. But it's never allowed to climb to the top because of the unwritten laws. 1. There must always be at last 1 Akmal in the side. 2. Afridi is undroppable. 3. The revolving door of openers should only include garbage players like Taufeeq and Farhat. 4. Turn a blind eye to match fixing, after all the big fish will get a slice of it as well. 5. Do nothing about security in the country, we'll get to go on nice holidays to Dubai and elsewhere. We'll take our families along and claim expenses. Attrocious to say the least and unfortunately the fans suffer. Whilst many Indians, Bangladeshis and other fans across the world may initially be happy and laught at it, it'll soon end up like WI, where you actually feel sorry for them because you know they could and should be a proper force in the sport, instead they're minnows. I'm sure Indian fans would prefer playing (obviously they want to win as well) a decent/strong Pakistan side rather than a weak one.
