Sri Lanka off-spinner Tharindu Kaushal has been reported with a suspected illegal bowling action during the third Test against India, which concluded at the Singhalese Sports Club in Colombo on Tuesday. The match officials’ report, which was handed over to the Sri Lanka management, cited concerns about the legality of the 22-year-old’s bowling action. Kaushal’s bowling action will now be scrutinised further under the ICC process relating to suspected illegal bowling actions reported in Tests, ODIs and T20Is. He is required to undergo testing within 14 days, and, during this period, Kaushal is permitted to continue bowling in international cricket until the results of the testing are known. http://www.icc-cricket.com/news/2015/media-releases/89657/tharindu-kaushal-reported-with-suspected-illegal-bowling-action

He bowled too much doosars. That's why.I watched interview of ashwin with Srikanth long time ago(may be early in his career around 2011) he said that he doesnt bowl it as he has to bend his arm for it.

I think he has a good clean action,he's a serious talent who's inconsistent but learning and now this burden has fallen upon him I.e to correct his action

doosra cannot be bowled without a chuck. Now it is to be seen how many degrees of chuck he does.
This. There is no way one can bowl a doosra without a chuck. They said he was the next Murali. Looks like he is well on his way :-)).

If this guy is chucking what was Murali doing then.I just happened to see a video yesterday in which Ravi Shastri was doing the tests for Murali with cast on his right hand and how he was not chucking but rotating his shoulder. I thought may be Murali did not chuck afterall but seeing this guy being reported it makes you wonder if Murali was bowling now would he be the same force.

How so? Putting a cast on his arm, leg, ribs, head and his *****, how did that prevent Murali from throwing in a test match? This is the question that needed to be answered isnt it ? Thanks

Nothing prevented him from chucking in real matches but may be somewhere we could give him a break. But as we have seen in Ajmal's case he passed all tests but we know what he was doing. He is Murali so he gets benefit of doubt from me at least. Some moron from SL was fighting with me sometime back about Murali's action.

Murali was a chucker. No question about it. ICC didn't want to make a big deal Now it's BCCI controlled, Murali would be banned if he still played
