sandeep Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Home side dismissed in 2 sessions for below 200 on day 2 in the second innings. I don't mind spin friendly pitches, but this is a bit OTT. diehardpacer and CricketBuffOne 2
zep1706 Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 I had no problem with the Mohali pitch, but this pitch is really poor. diehardpacer 1
cric_fan Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 How will these pitches help Indian batsmen & their development? It's disgraceful. diehardpacer 1
jf1gp_1 Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 (edited) to be honest i would have love to watch an Indo Pak test on this nagpur pitch. would have been interesting to watch how younis and Misbah handle such conditions Edited November 26, 2015 by jf1gp_1 CricketBuffOne 1

amiret Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Nonsense ,we need more pitches like this . 3 day tests are much better than boring run fests for our over-hyped , effete FTB's. Also it makes me reminisce of the 90's ; the days of my misspent youth . Whiling away many afternoons watching Raju , Chauhan and Kumble bowl out the hapless visitors on our patriotic Dust bowls of death.
G_B_ Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 I thought the bangalore pitch was good. Balance between bat and ball. Probably would have ended in 3-4 days This one is just too spin friendly. doccricket 1
Shunya Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Doesnt feel like satisfactory victory right now...it looks as if it is all predecided and everything is happening as per the script...Change the pitches...it will be more fun if its not so obvious....Having said that, SAfricans doesnt look like no 1 ranked team either...they are so mediocre right now... diehardpacer 1
cowboysfan Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 You can give help to spinners and still prepare a good pitch but that art is lost on our curators.it's either a part a or a minefield. diehardpacer 1

I dont think the likes of Harmer Vilas Van Syl Elgar have played in India before. Philander would be hopeless in these conditions even if the pitches were not that friendly. SA probably should have sent a more experienced side to India. I think the last time they toured India was a while back. 2009 for test cricket I think (not sure)Saha is the oldest player i think for team India. We are a much younger team than SA in the crucial areas. Edited November 26, 2015 by G_B_ diehardpacer and doccricket 2
horizonspeaks Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 I feel like pitches should be prepared by both teams, one team build one end and the other team builds the other. That makes a perfect case for neutral cricket.
Lannister Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 I think one rank turner per series is enough. After Mohali pitch, there was no need for this type of surface here. As much as I love for our bowlers taking 20 wickets, but not like this. There should be an equal balance between bat and ball. Mosher, CricketBuffOne and diehardpacer 3

diehardpacer Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 When our neighbours Lankans can make wickets that keep all trades of the game in play, surely Indian curators can emulate them.If by any reason the pitch went till 5th day,it would have turned 90 degrees.Even Nohit could get a 5 for here.Last 2 years, domestic pitches were all green turfs, now all are muddy dust bowls.Going to extremes won't help developing players skills. doccricket, express bowling and Mosher 3
Mosher Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Hopefully we will get a better pitch next test where the match will be go on till day 5. Also pitch with some assistance for the faster bowlers, so that we don't have to play with only one of our quickies. express bowling and Gunner 2
