The chairman of selectors says that he took medications to treat his hypertension, but the physio didn't know. He took his wife's medications because he too had BP problems. Looks like it was a communicative disease.

It is not like he is going to get some benefit out of the medicine or this will enhance his performance. Don't think many players will know about such a drug. There was no real reason for him to take it until he took it without knowledge of it being a banned drug. This is a case of misinformation or say lack of information.

It is a steroid masking agent, this is the reason behind WADA banning it across all sports, Yasir must have used it to recover faster from his recent injury, this is the reason officials take samples from an injury returning player eventhough it is called random checking. That is a crime either ways lol... Obviously pakis have no laws but his wife can get in legal trouble in most countries for distribution of scheduled drugs. Adi_91 1

Also, I hope people give hafeez more credit after such controversies. Most of his country's fans are lambasting him for not playing with such people, but you have to understand how it feels to be looked at suspiciously by others even when you haven't done anything wrong. even the morally sound hafeez was banned for chucking sscomp32 and Mosher 2
