yes. Dhawan has been pathetic in T20. I am saying this for so long now. We need someone else in place of him.

I say replace him with either Rahane or Pandey.

 Rahane can bat through 20 overs while rest of the batsman go for their shots. Kinda like how Rahane played for RR. Manish can do the same too and probably accelerate better when needed.

Either will be much better opener than shikhar in t20. I would prefer Rahane because he has more experiencexperience opening in t20 format than pandey, but anyone will be much better.

Yes, he's a worst T20 player and also I am not convinced with Yuvraj too. Agarwal and Iyer could be tried in their place.

One season. At international level he averages 21 at a miserable strike rate of 116. Not good enough especially for an opener.

On the contrary I think hes been in very good form in the past 18 months . Not a big fan of Iyer , I think he will play for India at some point , but will be found out .

These are Mayank's scores in the just concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy - 1, 16, 20, 5, 16. Also got a 0 today for India B. So definitely not in the best of form.

 

Interesting that you don't think highly about Iyer. Any particular reason other than technique? I am just talking about the LOIs and I think temperamentally he is good for LOIs.

I would consider even Uthappa ahead of Dhawan, given that the WC is in India... He and Rahane have been terrific openers for KKR and RR... I'd have either of them play instead of Dhawan...

Iyer seems a slogger to me.. Has been clicking against domestic attacks.. not sure if he can do that against a quality bowling attack like Aus or SA.. Too huge a risk to try for WC directly..
