Shami must have pissed off some Bigwig OR  Bhuvi has a strong Godfather.. only two possibilities.

I am leaning towards the second because Bhuvi is picked despite not performing recently and Umesh/ Varun have been overlooked.

i did not want Shami to be picked in the first place, but Bhuvi is going to be worse pick!

Bhuvi He is a very lucky bowler to keep getting selected inspite of performing poorly. Most Indian bowlers don't even get half of the chances that he gets. Don't we have any other bowler apart from Bhuvi?

Bhuvi is like that dud coin you keep trying to get rid of and it keeps coming back to your pocket. Then when you try to spend it you realize what a dud it is

Such a long lay off. Not sure how effective he's going to be on his comeback. It will be difficult for him and he's definitely going to take some time to get his rhythm/pace back. Even Boult has struggled and isn't the same bowler he was in the WC. Looks down in pace these days and he was only off for a few months.

Generally speaking, bowlers should be picked based on current form. Considering how Unadkat has bowled recently, he could have been a decent choice as well
