Dhoni has to stop the "unchanged 11" nonsense

Pandya needs to open with Rohit or Dhawan, both openers cannot do tuk tuk and waste powerplay every single time

Opening is a specialist position and not for a lower order hitter. Pandya is the only one who can tonk the ball in the slog overs so let him be. Maybe we will unearth a hard hitting opener in IPL who can go big in the PP overs.

Right, MS should warns Raina to Act himself better, india not depends on raina with his bowling any more , his job is making handy knock in the middle.yesterday he was unable to stops single ball cleanly

I think Rahane should call inplace of him at Mumbai.on his home ground.BCCI and selector selects  lesser specialist  batsman  in the team so even if, dhawan and raina fails for whole series, we have to keep them both.Look Australia, they have Finch and Marsh but  only one get selected when one of them not performing well

we have Iyer,Bista,Hooda, Negi all good batsman but they were ignores by purpose and failure player keep playing for nothing..

No.

- Rohit, Dhawan, Raina just need to improve their shot selection.

- There is so much more that defines a team besides what you see on the scorecard.

- World cup finals are often won by batsmen that have done nothing till that point (e.g. Dhoni, Gilly).

Yes, Rohit having too many brainfarts after getting set. Three brainfarts in a row now, PK, BD, and Aus..

he has shone in 1 match. Hardly expirience.

I would say take this chance to get Shreyas Iyer in for Dahwan and maybe Rohit can come down the order.

Negi is good enough cover for Yuvi. Its the opening which is the biggest hole or worry for India. I thought Aussie bowlers were just about OK. Rohit and Shikar made them look world class.

No. Aussie bowlers were looking world class till 15th over, not just when Shikhar and Rohit played but they didnt have a death bowler, missed Starc there.

That means we need to get 4 overs from Raina and Pandya which could be an issue on a flat wicket like Mumbai.

Also Windies dont have a single LHB after Gayle in their line up.So having 4 overs of Left hand spin (additional to Jadeja) could be vital. They did struggle badly against Afgan spinners.

Dont forget. Nagpur was a big ground, lot of those shots that went to hand will be 6s at Wankhede.

At least Yuvi has been fighting. Raina has been eating laddoos.

he is fat, there is no coach to take these free loaders to task.its embarrassing to see the professionalism from dhoni and kohli and see raina in the same team.

It's all about relative. Rahane is the only other option and he simply aren't good enough.

It was stupid of the team to only have 7 batsman in the squad. In India, they should have 8 batsman in the squad. So now we are only struck with Rahane as the alternative.

It is relative. And Rahane > Raina. Relative. Absolute. In whatever way.

There is absolutely no reason to persist with free loaders who are neither fit nor performing. Even if there are no other good options, keep searching. Keeping our humpty dumpty in every game is bound to hurt sooner or later.

Yuvi needs to play if fully fit. He helped form a partnership against Pakistan and also yesterday he got injured but stopped the floodgates of wickets falling allowing Infia to have wickets in hand to go all out at the end.

bowled well too. He is not same anymore but he is doing a lot better than a lot of other Ibdian players. Sharp criticism is unwarranted and even experts yesterday said that Yuvraj partnership was very important yesterday.

yes kohli is miles apart than anyone else but Yuvraj is doing a decent support job..could be better ofcourse but that applies to all the other batsmen barring Kohli.

Yuvraj has still contributed more than Raina and Dhawan...

This will sound a bit left field but open with Rahane and Rohit and bat Dhawan at 4. Maybe Dhawan will benefit from not facing the new ball. After this tournament he should be dropped from T20.

For now Its not ideal as Pandey would be a better option than Rahane but he isn't in the squad. I don't think Rahane is as bad a T20 player as is being made out the guy has had seriously good Ipl seasons in the past, but he needs to bat in the top order.

If Yuvraj is injured can get Negi in, but that does dent our batting. Or maybe even Rahane for injured Yuvraj :

Rahane, Rohit, Kohli, Dhawan, Msd, Raina

I have no idea what our batting game plan is even though we are in Semifinals. Sure the pitch looks tough to bat on, at least try to rotate the damn strike and keep dot-balls to absolute minimum. On these wickets any thing between 160-180 looks a par score (except Wankede), is it that hard to target around 70 runs in first 10 overs while keeping wickets in hand, and try to look to score around 100 in the next 10? They should be ashamed of themselves.

Dhawan is playing like a headless chicken.

Rahane can do better than scoring 10s. even bhajji can contribute better than dhawan. Dhawan certainly brings an aura which  is. quickly fading.

Dhavan is only playing because he's a Left Hand opener... Dhoni, in his great wisdom, thinks that alternate Left Hand Batsmen in the batting order messes up the opposition attack...

Pretty screwed up and rigid logic...

There's huge pressure on Kohli and even Dhoni too comes under pressure...

If Ind relied on some of its non performing players to finally come good, they have not in the group games. Ideally, if not for some magic cards, Ind would hv crashed by now  .... the strategy of playing unchanged 11 has failed as none of the batsmen (except you know whom) have even a 40+ score to their name

KOs should be treated like a different tourney and necessary changes made accordingly for it

From Wisden India, it seems like there is no ligament tear or bone fracture for UV. I would guess it is a matter of managing the swelling and more importantly, the pain. A few pain killer injections tonight and tomorrow morning should do it.

I am expecting UV to be fit to play based on what is being reported by our press.
