Asim Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 10 Series wins for Misbah-ul-Haq as captain in Tests - most by an Asian captain. He went past Sourav Ganguly and MS Dhoni, who registered nine series wins. For Pakistan, Javed Miandad won eight series'. tweaker 1
maniac Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 (edited) I thought Pak was a middle eastern country ...so I think it is still Dhoni/Ganguly from the subcontinent Edited October 25, 2016 by maniac velu, sandeep, Tibarn and 3 others 6
Laaloo Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Kohli will overtake them in some time express bowling 1
kosingh Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 I am sure numbers can be spun any way to suit an argument, but still, there is no doubt that Misbah has been a phenomenal leader.

sandeep Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Don't most Pak fans hate Misbah for being too "defensive"? He's very un-Pakistani in one regard - is a classy guy.
mancalledsting Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Amazing achievement, puts dhoni's test captaincy record into perspective
Austin 3:!6 Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Even in ODIs he used to captain like Test format.
Sandeep99 Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Misbah - one of the very few classy Pakistanis in the world. Well done to him.
zen Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 I dont like how success is measured in subcontinent. After a certain cut off series, success should be measured in terms of proportions. If X captained in 15 series and won 10, while Y captained in 12 series and won 9, Y is more successful because he won 75% of the series vs X's 66%. Also the quality of opponents counts Say min 10 seried as captain as cutoff, success = best win to series numbers sandeep 1
