I do not think if England won the toss this match they would be winning or even drawing this match as our bowlers bowled lot better than the first test.

Hm... im not sure, i think They would have had a good chance of drawing at least, our batsmen arent the good players of sping they once were

But there wasn't much for the spinners at all in the pitch.

Rashid/Moeen/Ansari are not in the same class as Swann/Panesar...

True, but Ansari isn't a spinner... mostly a slow medium bowler who bowls a loose line and length.

Sorry I will take this group of batsmen  over Sachin and other Fab4 everyday of the week.

That fab5 batsmen never functioned as team,  on talent alone they were on par if not superior to any batting lineup in history of cricket. They were so weak mentally that they never justified their talent.

Bit harsh.  But its true that the 'fab four' did not create as many test winning opportunities for the bowlers as you would expect.  Even the great Aussie series of 2004 was made possible by the consistently solid starts that Sehwag and Akash Chopra gave us.  Sure there were a few games they won - Pakistan series, that Headingley test, etc but nearly not as many as you would think.  Reminds me of Kumble's statement after bowling with a fractured jaw, paraphrasing a bit -  "not many times that I have had the chance to bowl overseas with 500 runs behind me".

Yes. As they say "Death of Myths"

They have already found a couple of new alternatives.

I think the bits & pieces allrounders like Ali / Butler dont cut it outside England... They need real quality batsmen

I meant that they had found alternative excuses. But, I agree that their team has too many "allrounders" and too few specialists. With Stokes, Woakes and Rashid, they don't need likes of Batty and Ansari (arguably even Ali).

the biggest problem with the internet is that it gives a place for complete morons to spout their garbage. and like every moron its some random nonsense with no supporting facts here because we won 2 tests at home.

The biggest problem with internet  is some complete morons don't have common sense to accept other people's views. They come across know all idiots who think  others shouldn't  differ from their personal views.

You cant possibly compare the bowlers they faced.1990-2010 Had some of the best bowlers be it fast bowlers or spinners in cricketing history.

Lastly cricket is a team game Test matches are won by bowlers not batsman.
