Age is just a number. 5-year-old Rudra Pratap proved it yet again as took the cricket fraternity by storm by playing for the Delhi Under-14 team. He might be just five, but his stance and technique is no less than a veteran cricketer. The video went viral on the internet where the kid can be seen rubbing shoulders with his seniors.

My verdict: He might the the child prodigy but still it seems unfair to me to include a 5 year old child in U-14. From  the videos, its quite clear that he is barely competing with that age group during running between wickets. Let him free and play with guys of his age group. Its high time we allow children to flourish at their own rather than pushing them hard to compete.

Utter, utter nonsense. Shouldn't be allowed to play at all. I don't care if he's talented or not, there are serious health risks. The coach of the team should be suspended.

it should be selectors who selected him.

As much as it is fun to see sometimes kids play, people now a days make big deal and go too much gaga about seeing a 4-5 year old play and hit few shots. I can't believe that to play that kid, they would have had to leave out some other kid who might have deserved a chance to play against some of his peers. The age 14-15 is the time when you start to develop your game and get better and leaving a 14 year old out of the game to allow this kid play in an under 15 game is extremely wrong on the guy who might have been left out for him.

Read my comment again. I am against him playing lol. You probably read it wrong. Are you for him to play in that game?

That kid is not ready to play against those 14 year old students.

People on social media are already making him hero which isn't bad, you may motivate young guys but coach and selectors must be looked after on this. This is completely ridiculous on their part to push such a young boy to compete with U14 guys

Well, He seems like last man coming to crease. He is wearing protective gears as per ICC regulations. I watched complete video, And for a 5 year old, It is amazing. I watch 7+ year coming for coaching and they reach nowhere near the ball whereas this kid is looking to hit the ball in technically correct manner
