Isn't Yasir Shah supposed to be better than Ashwin? Whatever I've seen of him so far he looks to be a poor man's Bishoo. No variety, can't turn the ball much and unless the pitch helps him tons, can't get wkts.

I like it. Though in this innings he had a good partnership with some of the pakistani fielders who were letting the balls go between their legs, but nevertheless, this is promising innings from Yasir. Back to back double hundred will be the greatest feat by an overseas player in Australia.

Yasir Shah is currently averaging 109 in this series at this time at Lunch. In recent history only Ashwin, Panesar and Ajmal have worse average than that but they all played less tests than Yasir shah in one series. Ashwin played 2 in that series when he was averaging 117 and Ajmal and Panesar played 1 test. Yasir Shah has already played two and is playing his 3rd test of the series.  Generally, the more balls you bowl, the better chance you have of taking wickets and improving your average. So yes, this is indeed the worst performance from a spinner in one series in recent history.

Never seen a wrist spinners that have done as bad as Yasir Shah in Australia. Finger spinners struggle a bit. But wrist spinners enjoy the bounce somewhat.

If yasir shah takes 20 more wickets @23 on future tours  even then his bowling average in australia won't come below 40, this is some epic phainty by the aussies, the damage is irreparable
