Dravid avg:s 68+,65+,63+,41+,29+ in 5 ALIEN COUNTRIES of ENG,NZL,WI,AUS,SAF where as Younis has 50+,50+,43+,32+,22+ in these 5 countries. And the sample size too is 117 inns to Younis's 65.and over all avg: too is 53.13:40.96 which is hugely in favour of Dravid. That implies Younis is of course the better in other 5 countries combined. But since performance in 5 'alien' countries carries a lot more weightage, Dravid is several levels above Younis. Add one day record too, then it clearly becomes a no contest. Dravid 4 or 5 levels better to Younis. express bowling 1

Ironically UAE Khan's 50 plus avg vs AUS was achieved in 2016 againist an attack that had Cartwright,O Keefe and Lyon. And Dravid faced Warne and Mcgrath at home and avgd 40plus including one of the greatest come from behind innings. I am not even going into the number of innings.

Dravid on the other hand was rock solid and could blunt any attack in any conditions. Any person with any decent cricket knowledge would pick Dravid any day over Younis in a Test team. One thing you have to give to Younis is that he is a very good FTB and never misses out on a chance to cash in when he sees a flat track. beetle 1

Dravid somehow had a massive flaw of getting 'clean bowled' in such conditions, I think his ratio of getting 'clean bowled' is way above other players of similar league...
kosingh Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 I always enjoyed watching Younis. Good batsman, good bat and great humna being. In my lifetime, there are only about 5 Indian batsman who I rate ahead of Younis. Dravid is one of them. I also think that Younis was born at the wrong time. Much of his career was spent in an era where cricket in Pakistan was administrated very poorly. If he had been born in India, he would have benefited from a much better support system, and may even have gone down as an ATG. Asim 1
