This is why BCCI doesn't call Bangladesh for Tests

Disappointing performance from their fielders, let down their bowlers big time.

From hereon, if they avoid an innings defeat, it would be somewhat of achievement

If they achieve a draw (barring any weather interruptions) then it would be miracle

and of course, they need a better captain

Mortaza though limited player leads the ODI team well, and results have come too

Yeah, but he's a liability as a player.  They need to groom the next captain and get him out of the playing XI.

1. India's w/l record also might have been similar when India started playing test cricket.

2. BD play very few away tests. Focus is more on LoIs. Kohli also says test cricket temperament is crucial which comes only by playing more n more test cricket.

Other teams earned draws . But Bangladesh kept breaking record for mots consecutive losses in Tests and ODIs. Until they ran into severely depleted 3rd string Windies side they could not beat anybody. Their first meaningful Test win came against England.  When SL started they already had a solid team. Wettimuny, Roy Dias, Mendis to name a few.

The first point is such a spurious argument used by toygers.  You cannot compare modern day cricket to the 1930s.  That's just a retarded excuse.

And its not even about BD losing.  Its the manner in which they are losing, that is the issue.  There's no shame in losing to #1 team playing at home.  But show some application, do the basics.  For all the flak the west indies get, those guys worked their ass off in the India test series.  They still lost due to the gulf in skill, but at least they applied themselves and worked hard.  I'm sorry but I can't say the same about this BD team.  Poor display of temperment and execution, apart from that Taijul fella.

Why being so unfair? These days, the focus is diluted between tests and LOIs. When India started test cricket, there were no LoIs. BD are a dangerous LoI side. Certainly a much improved from when they started in all formats.

Sandeep, regarding Musta, those are your projections. At least credit him now for being one of the best Loi bowlers.

BD are no doubt competitive in shorter versions but even in those formats they arent the world beaters BD fans make them out to be. If they progress the way they have in last 5 yrs who know couple of WC down the lane they might actually have a realist shot at it.

In LoIs, I would say they are on par with Pakistan.

you take away Paks past achievements and even they dont have a shot at winning WC anytime soon.

Cricket experience is counted on number of test matches played not on how many years a team practiced as  a team. BD would have played more matches in their first year that what India might have managed in their first 5 or more. Besides BD play a ton of ODI and India would have had more player churn because of lesser games in any given season.  Inspite of all this India appears to have a better start in drawing games and winning them, BD suck in tests thats a given. They have picked up in ODI after advent of t20.

Although in different conditions (home vs. away) and in different formats (50 overs vs 20 over), you statement's accuracy may vary.

It is unfair statement these days draws are very rare due to 90 overs in a day.Unless you have wicket taking bowlers test wins will very elusive.NZ have won one test in India in their whole history.

These days = 18 years.. Only in the last 4 or 5 years we see so many  result oriented matchces.
