agine dropping him in knockouts ahead of Mishra lol...happens only in your world I guess

Lol why you twisting and changing the topic. We were discussing who's the best spinner. I amswered younclearly that I will not drop Ashwin but will play both Mishra and Ashwin, but fee mishra is a better spinner.

And there is a huge difference between Vinay Kumar/Johnson comparison to Mishra/Ashwin comparison for twenty20s.

Mishra isn't any run of the mill bowler like you are trying to make him look by bringing Vinay kumar example.

Vinay Kumar has probably more wickets than Johnson in IPL so what is your point.

As I said Ashwin is a big game player and anyone with brains will pick him in any important game ahead of others.

be it a world cup or a wt20.

imagine dropping him in knockouts ahead of Mishra lol...happens only in your world I guess

Nice way he is evading that question lol

Find me where I said he should be dropped from the squad. I thought you and me were just discussing who's betrer bowler among the two until Mr. Acumen came and made Mishra look as bad as Vinay Kumar.

If you really fee Mishra is as bad as Cinay Kumar, then thanks.

So between Ashwin and Mishra , who would u pick for a world Cup semi final , if we can only pick one spinner ?

So you will pick Mishra over Jadeja then?

wait I am confused.

or you will play with 3 spinners.

still confused

let us say we are playing in sa,eng,nz or Aus in a wt20 knockouts who will be your spinners ?

made it simple for you

Ashwin was the man of the match in that close bangla game in wt20...he has comfortably outperformed ever spinner in Wt20 tournaments

bi lateral T20s are hardly played by India.

Dont know why all of a sudden you are super interested in stats in t20is which we hardly play.

@maniac answering you here as well as BG.

will be very specific to make it clear and answer your question.

Both are great 2020 spinners. But since you want me to pick only one, then here it goes.

It all depends which teams I am playing against.

If against Australia, I would play Ashwin. He is in their head just like Laxman was in their head and Ashwin will perform well against them as compared to Mishra.

If against Windies which has a lot of hitters, and is the best twenty20 side, I would pick leg spinner Mishra as Windies like playing a lot on mid wicket coming down the track and Mishra can easily fox them with his leg spin.

Against NZ , England Sri Lanka - Mishra.

Against Pakistan, Bangladesh - Ashwin.

How do you guys see DD lining up with this squad?

Big Mistakes in this Team Procurement:

one requires 2 wicket keepers and why there are 5? de Kock is the best and hence he and rishabh pant should have been selected and no one else.

Aggressive opener: NO body is an aggressive opener?

Iyer , karan are middle order bats.. I don't know about the other 3 sk ahmed/bawne/pratyush .. but they are not aggressive openers for sure.

Mathews - failing all rounder....Bad buy.

Duminy- average BUY

Anderson- good buy

morris-good buy

Cummins- good buy but I seriously doubt Australians.. they never play the IPL Seriously...

JOhnson ensures that he is hit in the first match and then even Punjab 11 did not play him.. I think he does not try hard....they just don't like dead tracks and when they bowl fast on dead tracks they are scored big and then they dislike putting efforts.

Sandeep Sharma and others were played and Johnson benched....

see Maxwell.. he will flop in all matches and will score in just 1 match.

even our DHoni took some games so lightly that he sent badrinath when a wicket was lost in 10th over ahead of him and come at 16th over.. with 18 balls left. That's why he was sacked as he seriously did not take responsibility in many matches and went too low down the order.

Dhoni as a wicket keeper BAtsman should have come to bat in 10th over ..even if he had to come at first down. its no use to come at 15th over as game is gone already.

Mishra and Nadeem are good spinners for t20.

zak is OLD so Useless as a bowler.

chamma milind and N saini are  weak bowlers for international players.

Shammi 's fitness is still doubtful.

Final VErdict- will be languishing in the Bottom of IPL.. last or second last.

Just curious - who has been the best off spinner in thr IPL? I don't follow much IPL, so I really don't know...

Sunil Narine definitely. Not just offie but the best Spin bowler in IPL .Probably between him and Malinga for the best ever.

I will start with him at least in games at Kotla and use Duminy since he can bowl good spin and has bowled well at Kotla.

Spinners can really change the game as we have seen in the past with Mishra, Tahir Duminy bowling well there together last year. So Duminy is good to play at Kotla always.

agreeing on this, and especially with morris from other end will give us two bowlers who can think and bowl in right areas. death bowling looks like a concern, not sure what approach would dravid/zaheer take?

Rabada has to play every game till he is in India. He is perfect for the death. Great addition to the squad.

Cummins bowled well in Big Bash and I watched Morris, he is doing fairly well. Shami isn't a great twenty20 bowler but can bowl good in death overs. So we have decent options. Morris is quick and hence hsi slow balls are coming out good. I saw him yesterday against NZ again, and he has improved a lot.

good point, my 4 include decock, duminy morris and rabada

and the team should likely be

Iyer

Decock

Samson

Nair

Duminy

Pant

Morris

M Ashwin

Mishy

Rabada

Zakk

Death bowling solution:

Zakk Morris can start; rabada to bowl 13th 15th 17th 19th overs; 18th and 20th by Morris

Ya, we are still notnsure on Zak though. There is a chance he might just be mentor and might not olay but lets see.

We can also go to Cummins and Braithwaite and mix it up as it is a long tournament. Braithwaite can be handy with the bat on big grounds as a hitter. Even on small grounds like Bangalore he can be devastating.
