sensible-indian
Atrocious. I knew he was going to try something stupid just cos Pat Cummins riled him up. That was a shot in anger which batsmen gets punished for in domestic cricket. All you had to do was play off 1 over and Pat Cummins was off for a long time. sensible-indian
Now Rahane plays the same shot successfully but aerially before he has even got his eye in. This is brainless stuff to be honest. express bowling 1 Link to comment

coffee_rules
Really risky shot when we have just 5 bats...Sanjay Bangar kar kya raha hain? we were cruising along fine, give Aus an opening...really stupid of Rahul. Link to comment

Sanjay Bangar? I have only seen Pakistani posters (not all of them) blame batting coach, fielding coach, bowling coach for the stupidity/underperformance of their players. This has got nothing to do with Sanjay Bangar and got everything to do with the dumbassery of our batsmen in this test. kosingh
You could see Rahul's dismissal coming even before Cummins riled him up. Once he got past 50, he seemed to be losing focus a bit. Still a good knock. And I think Rahul will sooner or later get over his lapses in concentration. He is only 24 years old. Mosher 1 Link to comment
Pollack
That's the way he is. I like him that way only. Ofcourse there would be instances like today where he would look like a fool. But he would also have his days due to same attitude in future. He is not technically sound against short balls and he is someone who would learn to tackle it sooner rather than later. Just don't expect him to play 'sensibly' which BTW is only sensible according to others. OpeningBatsman and rahulrulezz 2 Link to comment

coffee_rules
3rd time in the series, where Rahul has gotten out on his own after a 50. Puts all the hardwork and throws it away..somebody has to get his mental toughness better, AK, SB , shrink or even his mum can sit with him. A session is about all he is willing to grind out. Once session of grinding and then he's like f this, let the runs flow. He could learn so much from Pujara. Link to comment
diga
With the series in line and with India playing only 5 bats, he should have aimed for a longer innings. Rahul needs to learn the art of riding out tough passages of play and now he has left India in trouble Link to comment
express bowling
Rahul is still a work-in-progress as far as batting temperament is concerned. Link to comment
gakgupta
He has done this so many times...... Even in first test, i have seen the same shot from him... I am afarid, he is going in Rohit's way... Hopefully, he goes Kohli's way......but he is mighty talented Link to comment
coffee_rules
Just like Pune, his brain fade caused the collapse of Pujara, and Nair wicket. Rahane and Aswin's cameos later, rahane has another brain fade. Link to comment

So maybe you should blame Pujara rather than Rahul for throwing it away. coffee_rules and OpeningBatsman 2 Link to comment
helperononline
i dont think it was due to that incident he lost his wicket because He has got a weakness when shot ball is bowled little bit on the off side he misjudges and trys to pull the ball from off to leg side watch previous videos were he had scored 100 and got out trying to pull short delivery which are bowled on his off side Edited March 26, 2017 by helperononline Link to comment
