Fake toughness. Toughness was only seen in him while abusing other cricketers. When facing though times himself, he has shown no toughness at all.

The bans are not OTT. Aussies have put themselves on a pedestal for years peddling the theory that they will curse your wife, mother and kids but NEVER, EVER stoop to something as low as cheating on the cricket field. To keep up that image, they have no choice other than banning the culprits. Even these bans are a cover up and Smith the lying cheat hasn't told the complete truth. Cheated only one time for DRS? Cheated only once with ball tampering? And the bowlers have no clue? Total BS.

Look at mcgrath interveiw and then remeber his fight with sarwan

 

Aussies have had their aura of being tough only on field to intimidate  opposition but that doesnt mean they arent emotional beings
