Pakistan dropped Hafeez from the team and here we brought back Rayudu/Jadhav

Asia cup squad announced for Pakistan today and they have dropped their experience player Hafeez for youngsters like Shan Masood and U19 WC star Shaheen Shah Afridi. If you recall, Hafeez was instrumental in propelling Pak's score to 300+ in CT finals but their selectors did not gave preference to past performances.

And here we are not only sticking with Dhoni but bringing back even more oldies like Karthik, Jadhav, raydu etc. Not a single youngster like Agarwal, Pant, Shaw, Gill, Iyer, Washington, Krunal etc got a chance.

What is so wrong with our selectors? How can they be so incompetent and blind?

Kedar Jadhav's overall figures may look good ... but he has been poor against the big teams barring one series against England.

Plus he is a poor fielder.

Rayudu has a strike rate of 76 in this day and age ... and his apparently impressive average dips to 38 if we exclude Zim and Afghanistan.

Why would we pick a 76 SR  batsman  ?

Wondering how did we got so bad. If I recall, our selectors are very prompt in removing likes of Ganguly,VVS, Sehwag, Gambhir etc in the past for youngsters. But now we are just going backwards.

Difficult to fathom selection of Rayudu  for the Asia Cup and Raina in England.

IPL performances are influencing ODI selections ... but these are 2 separate formats and require different skillsets.

Kaul and Umesh got in the ODI squad to England based on IPL performances too.

And Jadhav's ODI performances against top teams are being missed.

I hope they play and smash these uncles knuckles.
