Having said that, the results of Pune under Smith are much better than under Dhoni. Dhoni will captain CSK or Team India better than anyone else, but Smith has shown that he can handle unfamiliar teams as well, which is a good trait for captain. He has covered the lesser captaincy probably by motivating Pune much better, using better bowling and fielding changes, and better tactics.
