Looks like India will finish top of Group B (barring a miralce result in SL v Pak game) and beating Bangladesh in Semi-finals will be a formality.

Definitely England v India CT Final 2017

Weather for Oval, London on 18 June is sunny and no chance of rain, based on today's pitch looks like easy 300 plus, but England's batting could easily post 350+ and chase 300+ easily.

India will go with same team, but if India bat first Rohit and Dhawan will need to push the run-rate a little harder and aim to have 100 inside 15 overs, need to hide Ashwin and Yuvi somewhere in the field, and reduce number of dot balls. India's fielding will have to be A-grade because attacking England will provide chances in the field.

Root, Morgan and Stokes all in form. And Butler is due a big one soon. This is some batting line-up.

abe "chewy"tiye, pehele Bangers solid gnaar marenge hamari!! :giggle:

I think Srilanka fan following is worse than Aussies .

Have you seen games other than India/Eng/Pak/Bang ? Empty stands and seats + Rain. Why do we even host ICC events in England?

With Semis being all Asia derby, All tickets will be sold.

Don't take BD lightly. They have decent enough medium pace bowling in Mortaza,  Rehman and Taskin and can surprise our batsman on their good day. Dont go by what they did in warmup with the bat as that pitch had a lot for the bowlers.

Regarding England, their bowling apart from Wood is very average. Jake Ball, Plunket, Moeen, Rashid are all average bowlers.

Have you actually watched the tournament? There's 2 games in the tournament not involving any of the teams you list, Australia v New Zealand and South Africa v Sri Lanka. Both of them were basically sell outs.

Yes i did, I asked the same question to few England fans on reddit, they replied due to Wales crowd not interested in Cricket :dontknow:

NZ vs Bangladesh - This match

No the attendances at Cardiff haven't been great compared to the other grounds but they've only got 3 group games there and an England semi-final which you'd hope would be a sell out. Interested to see the crowd today.

I still have no idea why Leeds,Lords and Trent wasn't used for CT17, Few games wouldn't have been affected by rain.

got to take it one at a time.  anything can happen in a single game.  hopefully our players aren't already thinking of the finals and should stay focused on the semis against Bangladesh.  Shouldn't take Bangladesh this lightly in any case.

Secondly, even England isn't guaranteed a spot in the final yet.  They might be favorites but again anything can happen.

The Oval and Edgbaston are fine. Replacing Cardiff with somewhere like Old Trafford would've made more sense though.

wonder if it is even worth it, will welsh kids ever pick up cricket. At times i wonder if its because of England the name, it should be Great Britain and Ireland Teams right, then the local folks will truly feel they are represented and come watch.

pretty sure the players are not taking them lightly, they have beaten the Indian team recently and so preparation will be top notch, if Indian team still gets beaten then its BD well played. But it is unlikely.

I feel the Indian players will be motivated to really flatten the toygers.  Bong players have been acting out a bit too much lately.  Sure they've gotten better and are no longer the walk-overs they used to be.  But their performances and tevar are still quite out of alignment.   Looking forward to an effortless stomping.

what ever motivates them but they should be focused, like the SA game.

Of course.  This is a game where toygers simply can't beat them.  Only we can beat ourselves.  And that snowballs' chance in a burning volcanic hell is only if our team falls asleep on the ground.
