wanted_desi
I think Kohli will not last for too long. His focus in more on politics than on the game hence his performance in Australia series. We are touring SA/Eng/Australia soon, and his buddies and him will not be enough to avoid a close to sweep. I still have a hope we will get someone else for World Cup 2019, and hopefully within a year or so. Who is capable of leading this side? KL Rahul might be someone who should be groomed as a future captain since Kohli can lose it anytime. Edited June 20, 2017 by wanted_desi Rasgulla and Unstable Joe 2 Link to comment
Sloane84
Kohli will be the captain for the next 5-6 years. After that it's clearly Mr. Lokesh Rahul. Cricketics 1 Link to comment

Singh bling
Kohli will be the captain for the next 5-6 years. After that it's clearly Mr. Lokesh Rahul. Only if India manages to win against stronger teams or in tougher conditions Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk Link to comment

Rahul can't play 2 games without pulling up injured. Let him play a full season or 2 before you anoint him as the heir. Rahane or Pujara or even Ashwin offer decent options for test captaincy. ODI/T20 is debatable. Rohit is an option, but I highly doubt he's going to step forward given how much VK has been siding with him. Link to comment
DGBOSS
There is no other Captain right now. Kohli is here to stay for next 5 years Link to comment

surajmal
Its Kohli's team. He is either the captain for the foreseeable future (until he retires most likely), or he is off the team, probably just play IPL and produce Anushka's movies . Link to comment
Cricketics
Futile talk, lets find a coach and get on with the business. Kohli/Moody 2019 campaign I am ready. Link to comment

bleaf27
Possibly gambhir Possibly rahane / Sharma Dhawan? Link to comment
Crookbond
In these situations, the best way is to do what the ECB did with Moores and Pietersen - coach and captain both go. This kind of politics shouldn't be entertained in the dressing room. wanted_desi, bleaf27 and Unstable Joe 3 Link to comment

Too bad he is not around international team no more. I am a big fan of Kohli the player, absolutely not a fan of Kohli the captain Link to comment
Sidhoni
Pointless thread. Would you have predicted in 2007 that the then U-19 skipper would succeed Dhoni? Link to comment
bihutoli
I hope either Pujara or Rahane becomes test captain. Kohli is prone to playing politics and trying to get his own yes men in (case in point Rohit Sharma or Shastri). I don't want Pujara or Rahane to be playing under that shadow. Don't really care about one dayers, Kohli can be captain there and select the team he likes. Link to comment
