Bumrah is no Starc hence i said that

Not just starc but pace bowlers that are elite limited overs bowlers generally do well in tests. Players that take wickets and contain batsman regularly in limited overs do so as well in test. Players that are spray guns in limited overs are spray guns in tests as well ect.

there are some exceptions like Nathan Bracken who have done well in ODIs, but struggled in tests.

Thats a small sample size though. That australian team was hard to get into.

You must have missed starcs bowling. Now bumrah is no starc but fast accurate yorkers are still super effective

Bumrah's pace is not enough for emulating Starc's yorkers in TESTS.

How can you bring a limited overs specialist directly into the test team? This is insane !!! Bumrah is a waste selection.

Agreed. Even more concerning is in our mission Bumrah for tests, hopefully we don't lose a freaking awesome ODI bowler.

That also, his novelty factor will wear off with more exposure. Need to keep him cotton wrapped till 2019 CWC at least, after that anyhow teams will figure him out.

there is no novelty factor anymore.  he has been playing International cricket now for two years and most teams have faced him.

Bumrah is very accurate and fast, he is also deceptively fit/ built for his wierd action. He is as close to starc as we have right no actually.

As long as he can mix 8-10 deceptive bouncers, 12-14 rigcage with 4-6 good length few legside and few offside along with with no more that 2-3 yorker length one in each spell, It may work.

Probably both.

I'm not sure of bhuvi if SA pitches are like aussie pitches, totally lifeless.

It will be tough for bhuvi to perform in that case.
