Indian captains just dont want to give chances to younger new players

There is an Italian saying that The more things change the more they remain the same.

Captains, coaches, selectors change but younger players are hardly ever given a game never mind a decent run in the team. Difficult to see a shift in this mentality soon especially when yes-men like Shastri are pretending to be "coaches".

I thought Sastry was pretending to be a cheerleader (in cheerleader's uniform).

Dhoni playing T20 is ultimate selfish act in Indian cricket.

Yes. He is 3 years older than the seniors who voluntarily stepped aside and let a young Indian team win the 2007 T20 World cup. Since the selectors won't drop him ever, he should quit the format on his own and give a chance to youngsters.

Got to remember, the captain isn't the only one deciding the team....there are always 'other interests' involved

Captain alone decides the team. At least from Dhoni era 100% captain selection. Ganguly started it. Dhoni took it to new levels. Kohli carrying forward the legacy. Coach, commentators, selectors and others can do nothing if captain want or not a particular player.

Hooda should have played instead of karthick

Since karthik didnt get chance to bat he will play the next game as well:facepalm:

disagree, kohli clearly knows in his heart that MSD is now a dud..as evidenced by his constant demotion in the batting order, if he felt he was a good player, then he would bat him higher up. there are other forces at play

He aint quitting now. He's back with csk so time to enjoy more tortures when watching the Indian T20 team.

As far as CSK goes, I hope he plays for many more years
